TEA optimistic about yarn price reduction, continuous supply of yarn

Due to sincere efforts of the Tiruppur Exporter’s Association (TEA), the ministry of textiles is now examining and working to resolve the crisis that emerged from the frequent increase in yarn prices and disruptions in regular supply of yarn, according to TEA president Raja M Shanmugham, who recently expressed confidence about a positive solution emerging.

International cotton prices has now started coming down—of course not to the level of domestic cotton prices—and in line with this, domestic prices have also been gradually reduced and he expects that the normal price range would be achieved in near future.

He was confident that the new financial year will be free of all odds for exports in the sector, will be full of business confidence, will prove prosperous to all exporting units and related stakeholders.
